23. Dwell On Your Positives

23. Dwell On Your Positives

To accomplish great things in life, it is mandatory to stop dwelling on the negative things in your past, present or future. This limits your potential. Instead, focus on your strengths, successes, and achievements.

Friends, welcome to Intervention, an outreach of VISION BUILDERS designed to help undergraduates contact divine intervention for academic victories.

Intervention brings you inspirational messages and Study Tips to enable you be your best academically! Through this message, we believe that God is set to bless you by removing every barrier against your academic success and fulfillment.

Today, I want to challenge you to Dwell On Your Positives.

And now, dear brothers and sisters, one final thing. Fix your thoughts on what is true, and honorable, and right, and pure, and lovely, and admirable. Think about things that are excellent and worthy of praise. Phil 4:8-9

The story was told of a young monk in the monastery on Mount Serat in Spain. One of the fundamental requirements of this religious order is that the young men must maintain silence. Opportunities to speak are scheduled once every two years, at which time they are allowed to speak only two words.

On completing his first two years of training, the young monk was invited by his superior to make his first two-word presentation. "Food terrible," he said. Two years later the young man used this forum to exclaim, "Bed lumpy." When two more years later, standing in his superior’s office he proclaimed, "I quit" the superior replied, "You know, it doesn't surprise me a bit. All you've done since you arrived is complain, complain, complain.”

If just two words described your academic life, what would they be? Today’s bible reading prescribes dwelling only on good, right, and lovely thoughts. Nothing determines your progress in life like your own thoughts. Put your heart into your academics and you will be surprised at your productivity.

Don’t compromise on your good habits, stay focused on your academic goals and whatever happens know that God will come through for you.
Today is also a good time to drop all your excuses for not receiving Jesus as your Lord and Saviour. Truth is, you are solely responsible for your eternal destiny. Why not give your heart to the Lord today? To receive the Lord Jesus today, pray this simple prayer right now:

Heavenly Father I ask you to please come into my life today. I believe that your son Jesus Christ died for my sins and rose from the dead. Forgive all my sins today and make me your child. Fill me with your Holy Spirit right now and bring stability into my academics and life. Thank you for coming. Amen.

If you prayed this prayer then know that you have begun a relationship with God. He has come into your life and will begin working in your life. Please write to me at buildyourvisions@gmail.com or send an SMS to 0817 2239 319 to tell me that you just start a relationship with God. Kindly include your mobile number and email address.

Continue to expect the best from yourself and continue to maintain a great attitude regardless whatever happens.

I’ll be glad to hear from you. Kindly send your testimonies, questions and prayer requests as responses on this blog. To ensure your friends, class mates and room-mates are also equipped by Intervention Messages and Study Tips, kindly share this message with them.

Thank you for joining me. I remain your host Tope Banjo and this is Intervention. God bless you mightily!

You will succeed. You will make it!
