20. 5 Important Tips For Academic Success

Academic Success is the desire and goal of every undergraduate. I am sure you are not exempted. A sharpened axe makes an easier job of a tree felling project.

It has been said that, “Using a dull ax requires great strength, so sharpen the blade. That's the value of wisdom; it helps you succeed.” Eccl 10:10

Friends, welcome to Intervention, an outreach of VISION BUILDERS designed to help undergraduates contact divine intervention for academic victories. Intervention brings you inspirational messages and Study Tips to enable you be your best academically! Through this message, we believe that God is set to bless you by removing every barrier against your academic success and fulfillment.

Today I want to share with you 5 Important Tips For Academic Success as suggested by Dr Ben Mbam. They provide common sense and insight that will sharpen your academic edge.

1.  Always Be Punctual Lateness to lectures makes you miss important information and strong ingredients delivered by the lecturer. On the other hand, your punctuality creates a positive impression on your lecturer. You get to make your notes direct from the lecturer’s words, which keeps you in tandem with the lecturer’s core points and minds as it concerns that particular course.

2.  Ask Questions As Many As Possible Many of the students never ask any question to the lecturer, and this is vital for improving your knowledge of the course. Lecturers prefer students who ask questions to them because it shows their interest in the class and the course.

3.  Do Your Homework and Assignments Do your assignments on time is the key to success because lecturers use them to determine your knowledge and grades. Assignments provide avenue to learn more about the course.

4.  Be Confident You must develop confidence in your abilities and speak up in class over an interesting course. Lecturers prefer such students and are disposed to helping such students in many special ways.

5.  Always Prepare For The Quiz Always prepare for surprise tests by reading course materials (handouts, notes, textbooks, etc) before lectures, participating in class group discussions, and doing assignments and exercises suggested in your textbooks or handouts.

According to Saint Ignatius of Loyola, “Let us work as if success depended upon ourselves alone; but with heartfelt conviction that we are doing nothing and God everything.” Do your part and God will do certainly do His.

I Have A Serious Question To Ask You?

Do you have a personal relationship with God through Jesus Christ? Today is a good day to start. You only have success to gain. Pray this simple prayer: Lord Jesus, thank you dying for me on Calvary. I confess my sins and ask for your forgiveness. Today I receive you as my lord and personal Saviour. Change my heart and fill me with your Holy Spirit. Thank you for receiving me in Jesus name.

If you prayed this prayer with me then know that you have begun a relationship with God. He has come into your life and will begin working in your life and academics. Please send me a message @ buildyourvisions@gmail.com or an SMS to +234 817 2239 319 to tell me that you just started a relationship with God. Remember to include your mobile number and email address. I would like to keep praying for you.

Don’t compromise on your good habits, stay focused on your academic goals and whatever happens, know that God will come through for you.

Continue to expect the best from yourself and continue to maintain a great attitude regardless whatever happens.

I’ll be glad to hear from you. Kindly send your testimonies, questions and prayer requests as responses on this blog. To ensure your friends, class mates and room-mates are also equipped by Intervention Messages and Study Tips, kindly share this message with them.

Thank you for joining me. I remain your host Tope Banjo and this is Intervention. God bless you mightily!

You will succeed. You will make it!
